So I just became a member of mandolincafe.com, and someone on there asked if I was related to this guy

John Salyer (1882 -1952) – fiddler from Magoffin County, Eastern Kentucky

Do y’all know of him, or anything about him? He looks similar enough that we could possibly be related, but I don’t know cuz I’m not really into genealogies. Just curious, thanks

That would be really cool to learn: that he’s a distant relative.

I actually wondered if you could be related back when you first joined this site…lol…just felt too stupid to ask.  Maybe you are, somewhere along the line.  Woulnd’t that be too cool?
