Thanks for putting this up. Our church youth group sings this, with one of the teen girls playing her violin during a break; they play it in C, though.
Sounds great!June 21, 2015 at 1:31 PM #24500nagumaqParticipant

Great lesson, John. So sweet and relaxing!November 27, 2015 at 1:23 AM #28927
Here is a video sent to me by Brenda Gonzalez in the Philippines. She contacted BGD less than a year ago wanting to learn how to play the fiddle. We sent her a fiddle, made possible by a gift from a member, and signed her up for lessons. What do you think? Her brother is playing the drums with her.November 27, 2015 at 1:57 AM #28936rodgerParticipant
When you have a student that has an ear to pick it up like she does it’s very rewarding John….November 27, 2015 at 9:41 AM #28937
Wow! She has learned so much in less than a year, very smooth. Thank you, John for posting the video.November 27, 2015 at 9:45 AM #28938
It is very rewarding! You sow and sow, never knowing where you will reap. In this case, Brenda and her siblings (five total) have been working very hard to play music in church together. Their father is the pastor, and he plays the guitar. They are developing a family band. It really is a joy to see the progress.November 27, 2015 at 12:25 PM #28945nagumaqParticipant
Wow, way to go Brenda ! That was amazingly beautiful for Under a year, so happy to hear this this morning, what an inspiration .

so wonderful and inspiring…very touching.
Way to go Brenda and family. And, blessings to the giver of the fiddle, the teacher and the touch of the Master’s hand. :^)

Hi! Good news — I have made a video for it while at camp this week. 🙂 I will put it on as soon as I get back into good WiFi.
We had a service Sunday morning at the Sunchild Native Reserv and “As the Deer” is one of the songs they sang. I will also be teaching the beginner version to the children here this week.
