Thanks for putting this up. Our church youth group sings this, with one of the teen girls playing her violin during a break; they play it in C, though.
Here is a video sent to me by Brenda Gonzalez in the Philippines. She contacted BGD less than a year ago wanting to learn how to play the fiddle. We sent her a fiddle, made possible by a gift from a member, and signed her up for lessons. What do you think? Her brother is playing the drums with her.
It is very rewarding! You sow and sow, never knowing where you will reap. In this case, Brenda and her siblings (five total) have been working very hard to play music in church together. Their father is the pastor, and he plays the guitar. They are developing a family band. It really is a joy to see the progress.
HI John, Would you have the track for he intermediate version of “As The Deer”? I looked around and couldn’t find any other than the beginner version. I just need to hear how its played once. Thanks.
Hi! Good news — I have made a video for it while at camp this week. 🙂 I will put it on as soon as I get back into good WiFi.
We had a service Sunday morning at the Sunchild Native Reserv and “As the Deer” is one of the songs they sang. I will also be teaching the beginner version to the children here this week.
