I have been messing with the backing tracks for tunes that I play.  Currently I have been playing the 115 pbm track on Danny Boy but I am having trouble with this and other tracks getting synced up.  I don’t know where the downbeat comes and once I find my way I am in the middle of the song.  This embarrasses me to even ask.  I play out with guys from the Old Time Fiddlers so I can sort of play with back up but where to come in on these tracks stumps me.  Someone give me a clue.   Thanks

Hi, sorry for the trouble! Here is sort of a guide for Danny Boy. There are six clicks at the beginning, and you start singing or playing after the third click like this, so that the music begins on the word “boy.”

    CLICK — | CLICK — | CLICK CLICK | CLICK CLICK | (music begins)
    CLICK — | CLICK — | CLICK “OH” | “DAN – NY” | “BOY”

    is that helpful?

thanks I will give that a try.
