My two favorite genres are OT and early American, but I do not find many folks out there in fiddleland who share my attraction for early American.

I’m talking about music (mainly played on the fiddle) here in the US from the 18th century…pre revolution and early colonial days. I not only like listening, and in some cases learning the music, I really enjoy rooting around the internet seeking the origin and evolution of these early pieces. In some cases, these early tunes have evolved into OT tunes.

    Any other fans out there?

A lot of tunes here at BGD date back to Percival war early 1800’s !

As I get older I have grown to appreciate many kinds of music

Cricket , plays a lot of good ole stuff !

I especially love music where the artist stands out from the crowd as in individualisum , You do not have to see them to know who they are , The moment you hear them they are recognized , Today we have to many cookie cutter singers they sound a lot alike !
