    Good morning, Dr. John,

Frere Jacques takes me back a long ways in time as we used to live close to a french settlement in northern Minnesota and my tiny one room school had a fair amount for French kids (which are now my relatives) so the culture did grow on  me and this is a part of it.   Absolutely love it!   Will take first steps on it today and it will become a most enjoyable part of my daily lessons, I’m certain just as Irish Washerwoman has.  You’ve dipped into some of the most delightful parts of my distant past and I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!    my fiddlling is and may always be slow and sloppy but I’m having a great time with it and my kids and grandkids just shake their heads at whacky old grandpa.  However, other family fiddlers my be coming forth in spite of my feeble attempts to make great music, they can…and do.

That’s great! Thank you for the encouragement. Our younger fiddlers are also really enjoying this tune. I hope you have a great week.
