Hello, wondering if anyone is familiar with the song “the butterfly?” I saw someone from Newfoundland (Newfie Fiddler or something like that) but I couldn’t find it on YouTube to share it. It is one of my all time favorite tunes.

Here’s the link to the music – it’s free!

Those Irish jigs sound cool.  We’ve got some good Celtic fiddlers here. Are you playing it, Fayew?

Peakfiddler is great. I like a lot of his song choices he has online.

Peakfiddler is a pretty incredible Fiddle Player, I especially like his fast version of “Star Of The County Down…”

Thank you, Nancy! He’s good. I wish I could find Newfie Fiddler. Best I ever heard playing it. I used to watch it everyday. Then it just disappeared on me.

Thanks, Steve. I think so to. My favorite, I believe, of all the slip jigs.

Here is a great lesson from my friend Jason, if anyone is interested in learning this tune.

I started building the tabs for this song (beginner); does anyone know how to do something like that electronically? I have it drawn. I could scan it and share it but would love it to be pretty.   🙂

I think the program called ‘Tab|edit might do what you are trying to achieve.

    https://tabledit.com/

They have a FREE trial demo version available (with limitations).  Scroll down to the bottom of their Home page to download FREE trial version.

There is also a FREE program called ‘Power Tab Editor’ which worked on Windows XP.  I think it might work with Windows 7 or higher, bu not sure of that. Below is a tutorial on what it can do. (NOTE:  Just be sure that you download it from a reputable source.)

You may also like to check out ‘MuseScore’, a FREE program.

    Hope these suggestions help.
