Violin history story

    I ran across this article an thought it was fun to read. Amazing lot of history in the story of violins. For some reason I couldn’t get the pics to load in the article.

    Interesting.  I was doing some reading about the precursors of violin and cello back when my daughter had me working on the 1600s opera…just trying to figure out what sort of things they were playing back then.  For a good, confusing read, anyone interested in chord progression and improvisation might wanna look up basso continuo some day when you feel like you’d enjoy a nice headache…lol…that’s what those old precursor instruments would do…kinda like jazz musicians today.
