Birthday Celebration

One of the greatest joys in life is meeting friends for the first time that make you feel like you should have known them your whole life.  We met Mr. and Mrs. Miller through a series of neat events and "The Rambling Rosehip Players" were asked to sing for Mr. Miller's 89th birthday.  He was so happy to have a yard full of children and instruments and we were happy to have the honor of helping to celebrate his birthday with him, his wife, his daughter and other family and friends.  His lovely wife was the most gracious hostess and provided quite a bountiful spread which we all enjoyed.  The best part of the afternoon, though, was just seeing how happy it made Mr. Miller when the children played song, after song, after song, after song...

This is the reason for music.  This is reason for passing on the music to the next generation.  To share it with someone, to make someone's day so much better, and for making our day so much better for having shared it with them.
