Jesus I Pray

Oh Lord Jesus I pray, help me find my love for life
For Jesus I can’t trust my foolish heart
Many loves have come and gone, yet my heart has bigger grown
Oh, Lord Jesus, I can’t trust my foolish heart

My first dream was forever, my second a true lover
My third was babies born in a Christian home
Oh, sorrow has found a home, such as my heart has never know,
Lord Jesus, I can’t trust my foolish heart

Chorus:
Then Jesus, He did say, trust in my loving ways
Trust in My love, for My love is for life.
Trust in My love, for My love is for life

But, I said, Lord Jesus I pray, help me find my love for life,
Lord Jesus, I can’t trust my foolish heart
Many loves have come and gone, yet my heart has bigger grown,
Oh, Lord Jesus, I can’t trust my foolish heart.

I agree…it sounds like when country was good.  I’d love to learn it one of these days…it won’t sound anywhere near what John did, though…lol.
